Ingredients - Serves - 4
- Mashed potato - 1 cup (3 potatoes mashed)
- Grated cheese - 1/4 cup (any cheese)
- Chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Coriander leaves - few
- Corn starch - 2 tbsp
- Bread crumbs - 2 tbsp
- Oil to deep fry
- Mix 1/2 tsp chilli powder to the mashed potato and rest to the grated cheese
- Add bread crumbs, corn starch and required salt to the mashed potato
- Take small portion of the potato and shape it into a cup and fill cheese in the centre
- Bring the sides of the cup together and shape it into a ball
- Deep fry into golden brown
- Serve hot with ketchup
- Potatoes are good source of vitamin C, B6, copper, potassium, dietary fiber and also contain a variety of phytonutrients that have antioxidant activity
- Cheese is rich in calcium and prevents osteoporosis and other bone problems associated with aging.
- 2 potato cheese balls = 210 calories approximately
