Salsa with papad is a great starter
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Papad - 4 nos
- Finely chopped onions - 1 cup
- Finely chopped tomatoes - 1 cup (deseeded)
- Green chilli deseeded - 1 tsp
- Lemon juice - 2 tbsp
- Chopped coriander leaves - 2 tbsp
- Olive oil - 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Mix chopped onions, tomatoes, chilli, lemon juice, coriander leaves, olive oil and salt
- Roast the papad in microwave (or deep fry the papad)
- Spread the salsa over each papad

- Tomatoes are rich in Vitamin C and B including niacin, riboflavin, magnesium, phosphorous, calcium, chromium, folate and fiber
- Lemon juice is rich in Vitamin C, Vitamin B6, potassium, folic acid
- Onions contain sulfides which may lower blood lipids and blood pressure
- Per serving = 45 calories approximately
