Crunchy and spicy homemade raw banana chips
Ingredients - Serves 4
- Raw Banana - 4
- Chilli powder or pepper powder - 1 tbsp
- Oil for deep frying
- Salt to taste
- Peel the skin of the raw banana and thinly slice it using a slicer (or slice it using kitchen knife)
- Heat the pan with oil for deep frying
- Deep fry the slices of banana and using a ladle, gently separate the chips from each other as they fry otherwise they will stick together
- Fry till golden brown and remove from the oil. Place the chips over a paper towel to remove excess oil.
- While it is hot sprinkle little salt and chilli powder
- Repeat this process in batches
- Store in a clean air tight container

- Raw banana is high in fibre, potassium and rich in vitamins A and C
- Per serving = 200 calories approximately
