Tofu Paratha

Tofu paratha is soft Indian flat bread - Tofu, Indian spices and herbs in wheat flour



Ingredients - Serves 4

  • Wheat flour / atta flour - 1 1/2 cups (extra flour for dusting)
  • Grated tofu - 1 cup
  • Chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Crushed dry methi - 2 tbsp
  • Oil / ghee - 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
Method
  • In a big bowl mix atta, grated tofu, chilli powder, dry methi and salt
  • Sprinkle water little by little to make a soft dough
  • Cover the dough and rest for 15 minutes
Dough

  • Take a lemon size portion of dough
  • Place it on the rolling board and dust them with dry flour and roll into circular shape
  • Heat the tawa and place the paratha in it
  • Cook both sides until it gets nice brown spots
  • Apply ghee or oil on both sides
  • Serve hot with raita

    Nutritional Information
    • Tofu is very low in Cholesterol and Sodium.
    • Tofu is rich in Protein, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus and Calcium
    • Per paratha = 175 calories approximately

      Wonderful blog & great recipes with simple-to-follow steps that inspire to cook. Please post ur recipe for avocado chappathi that u shared with me in Park hill, TX. I made it a few times when I was there and Bala had liked it, but I forgot if anything else(seasoning spices) was used with avacado for the filling. Thanks in advance.
