Ingredients - Serves 4
- Mango pulp - 1 cup
- Milk - 1 cup
- Milk powder - 1/4 cup
- Condensed milk - 1/2 cup
- Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
- Chopped pistachios - 1/4 cup
- Sugar - 1/4 cup (optional )
- Heat a heavy bottomed pan with milk, milk powder and condensed milk
- Bring it to boil and simmer it for 5 minutes or until the milk thickens up
- Now cool the milk completely
- Add cardamom powder, pistachios and mango pulp
- Mix well, pour it in molds and freeze it for 6 to 8 hours
- To separate kulfi, dip the molds in warm water for few seconds
- High level of soluble dietary fiber, Pectin and Vitamin C present in mangoes helps to lower cholesterol
- Mangoes are also rich in Iron
- High amount of antioxidants are present in mangoes and when consumed regularly fights against cancer and other heart diseases
- Regular intake of pistachios in the diet helps to lower bad LDL cholesterol and increase good HDL cholesterol levels in the blood
- Pistachios contain many health benefiting nutrients, minerals, antioxidants and vitamins that are essential for optimum health
- Per serving = 150 calories approximately
