Ginger Chutney

Ginger Chutney is a naturally spiced side dish, perfect with green gram dal dosa.



Ingredients - Serves 6

  • Chopped fresh ginger - 2 tbsp
  • Urad dal - 2 tbsp
  • Dry red chilli - 1 to 2
  • Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
  • Curry leaves - few
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
Method
  • Fry urad dal, red chilli, ginger and grated coconut in 1 tbsp of oil until it turns golden brown
  • Cool it and grind into a smooth paste by adding little water
  • Heat 1 tbsp of oil add mustard and curry leaves, when mustard pops pour it to over the chutney

  • 6 Servings = 570 calories approximately
