Ginger Chutney is a naturally spiced side dish, perfect with green gram dal dosa.
Ingredients - Serves 6
- Chopped fresh ginger - 2 tbsp
- Urad dal - 2 tbsp
- Dry red chilli - 1 to 2
- Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
- Curry leaves - few
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
Method
- Fry urad dal, red chilli, ginger and grated coconut in 1 tbsp of oil until it turns golden brown
- Cool it and grind into a smooth paste by adding little water
- Heat 1 tbsp of oil add mustard and curry leaves, when mustard pops pour it to over the chutney
- Serve with green gram dal dosa
