Ingredients Yields - 15 Mini Bars
- Oats flour - 1 cup
- Oats - 1 cup
- Almond butter - 1/4 cup
- Nutella - 1/4 cup
- Coarsely chopped peanuts - 2 tbsp
- Honey / brown sugar - 1/4 cup
- Cinnamon powder / cardamom powder - 1 tsp
- Flax powder - 1 tbsp (mixed in 2 tbsp of water)
- Water - 1/4 cup
- Baking powder - 1 tsp
Method
- Mix oats flour, oats, cinnamon powder, peanuts and baking powder in a big bowl
- Beat almond butter, honey and powdered flax mixed in water + 1/4 cup water
- Add dry ingredients to wet mixture and mix well
- Grease the pan and spread the mixture
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes at 350 degrees or until a tooth pick inserted in the centre comes out clean
- Cool it before cutting into squares and spread nutella on top
- store it in a air tight container
- Flax seeds contain high levels of dietary fibre, micro nutrients and omega-3 fatty acids
- Flax also lowers cholesterol levels
- Almond butter is rich in monounsaturated fats, which reduce cholesterol levels and decrease the risk of heart problems
