Ingredients Yields - 12 Rock Buns
- Butter - 100g
- All purpose flour - 1 1/2 cups
- Baking powder - 2 tsp
- Ground mixed spice - 1/2 tsp (optional)
- Brown sugar - 1/2 cup
- Any dried fruits - 1/2 cup
- Milk - 2 tbsp or more
- Sift flour & baking powder into a bowl and rub in butter until it resembles breadcrumbs
- Now add brown sugar and dried fruit
- Add milk to make a stiff mixture that will allow the fork to stand upright(If the mixture is still dry add a tbsp of milk at a time until you get the required consistency)
- Divide into 12 rough shapes and place on a greased baking tray
- Bake it for 15 minutes at 400F until golden brown
