Potato sauteed in freshly ground masala. This curry is very flavorful and goes well with rice or roti.

- Large potato - 2 (peeled and diced)
- Sliced onions - 1 cup
- Coriander seeds - 1 tblsp
- Grated coconut - 1 tblsp
- Dry chillies - 2 nos
- Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
- Peppercorns - 1 tsp
- Asafoetida - pinch
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Oil - 2 tblsp
- Salt to taste
Method
- Grind coriander, red chillies, cumin seeds, pepper corns and coconut - keep it aside
- Heat the pan with oil add mustard seeds, when it pops add asafoetida and onions
- Sauté for few minutes and add diced potatoes
- Sprinkle little water and add required salt
- When the potatoes are partialy cooked add grounded masala
- Mix well and cook it in a medium flame
- Cook till potatoes are crispy
- Serve hot with rice or roti
